Goodrich Sued for Causing Asbestos Death

An asbestos lawsuit recently filed in Jefferson County District Court names BF Goodrich and Guard-Line as a defendant. According to the suit filed on May 15, Goodrich caused the death of a refinery worker Roland Roberts by exposing him to asbestos during his employment. The suit was filed by Rosella Roberts on behalf of Roberts’ estate. The suit says Roberts worked at the defendant’s Port Neches facility from 1961 until 1996. There he was exposed to toxic asbestos fibers, the suit states.

The plaintiff says Roberts developed lung cancer relating to asbestos exposure and died from it in 2010 May.  The defendant failed to keep its employees safe even though the hazards of asbestos exposure were known to it, the lawsuit says. The lawsuit is asking for exemplary damages.
