Mesothelioma Patient Will Mark Ten Years of Survival
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) February 1, 2007
This year, mesothelioma survivor Paul Kraus will mark the 10th year of his recovery from mesothelioma. In June 1997, Paul Kraus was diagnosed with mesothelioma and given only a few months to live. He and his family were stunned by the shocking mesothelioma cancer diagnosis, but were not ready to give up. They researched different therapies for this cancer from asbestos and learned about various conventional, integrative and alternative mesotheliomatreatments. From this knowledge, Mr. Kraus created his own path to heal his mesothelioma.
Paul Kraus said, “I have come to the belief that cancer can be cured and overcome, mesothelioma included. I have outlived my prognosis by many years and the medical specialist I visited not long ago told me that 'you will be around for a lot longer yet.' My survival has been hard work. The underlying assumption with all that I have done, and continue to do, is a strong belief that our bodies are designed with amazing self-healing capacities.”
Mr. Kraus wrote an acclaimed mesothelioma book about his path to healing called “Surviving
Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide.” After reading
the book, Dr. Bernie Siegel, M.D. wrote, “Paul Kraus' book has
all the information a mesothelioma cancer patient needs to have in order to learn what
survival behavior is about… The author shows you the importance of
information combined with inspiration, spiritual resources, emotions and
desire. The issue is not about failing, but becoming empowered.”
